Working with Chalcroft, Envirotreat designed and implemented a remediation strategy to enable the residential development of a former petrol filling station in Norfolk. Envirotreat developed a suitable remediation strategy to satisfy the requirements of the Council / planners, the NHBC and the Environment Agency. Envirotreat undertook all aspects of the remediation works including removal of tanks (including cleaning and validation), validation of excavations following excavation of contaminated soils, E-Clay stabilisation of hydrocarbon impacted soils & encountered groundwater prior to re-emplacement on site. In addition Envirotreat implemented remediation measures to mitigate risks from a tidal creek (considered to be a preferential pathway) and also installed a barrier to minimise recontamination of the site. Envirotreat obtained all the necessary statutory approvals to enable the development to proceed.
