Envirotreat was commissioned by Cognition Land and Water to undertake remediation works consisting of the design and installation a Permeable Reactive Barrier at the prestigious Royal Wharf development in Silvertown, London (located in close proximity to the Thames Barrier) – the reactive barrier was installed to protect offsite receptors on the northern boundary of the site – the contamination was primarily metallic in nature reflecting the historical use of the site as a munitions / chemicals factory. The barrier length was approximately 270m. The environmental consultants were CGL.
