Following a change of ownership, the site vendors commissioned Envirotreat to evaluate historical investigative reports and propose a pragmatic way forward to assess the on-site chlorinated hydrocarbon contamination issues and remediation options. A focussed investigation was carried out including additional groundwater monitoring, trial pit excavation and the installation of additional boreholes. Data collection is ongoing, which has limited the contamination issue to one small area of the site. Appropriate and effective remediation works will be carried out in the coming weeks.
