Following the completion of the demolition works at the site, Envirotreat provided a comprehensive watching brief during the removal of the concrete foundation slab to assess any potential unexpected contamination, evaluate surplus soils for offsite disposal and validate the removal of two underground fuel storage tanks. Soils samples were collected from the immediate surrounds of the tanks which confirmed there had been no impacted to soil and groundwater. Surplus soils were sampled, and the results assessed in accordance with the requirements of WM3 to enable appropriate off site disposal.
