Before and After
Envirotreat has completed a project for the managment and disposal of
historical waste stockpiles from a site in South Wales to facilitate its sale.
Circa 1,500m3 of waste soils and aggregates were
removed to a number of permitted facilities. Parts of the waste were screened
to remove the reusable aggregates, minimising the volume of hazardous waste. Some
of the hazardous soils were diverted to a recycling facility.
Approximately 900m3 of the overall waste was blighted with Japanese Knotweed. This limited possible recycling options and required careful onsite management.
