Envirotreat have been commissioned to undertake supplementary site investigation works at a fire station development for Speller Metcalfe.
The scope of the work included excavation of 10 No trial pits across the site and 6 No windowless sample borehole installations specifically for groundwater assessment for PFAS.
The results and interpretations from this work enabled Envirotreat to produce a Remediation Options Appraisal and Remediation Strategy for submission to the local council in support of the discharge of relevant planning conditions
This follows on from the successful PFAS remediation works undertaken last year at the former Redditch Fire Station site
